Emma Spring

Emma co-founded BanktheFood and is a charity Trustee. A former primary school teacher and Local Authority Schools Adviser, Emma volunteers to manage the charity’s operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Emma was immediately drawn to the idea behind BanktheFood because she has seen how food insecurity affects children and families. This simple yet brilliant solution might make a monumental difference to food banks nationally and help those most vulnerable in our communities.

Daniel Owen

Dan, a co-founder of BanktheFood and charity trustee with a background in technology, marketing, and digital media, realised the potential of technology and founded BanktheFood.

As our tech genius, Dan and his team at Mustard New Media volunteer their time for BanktheFood, painstakingly tweaking, refining, and recoding the app to keep it running seamlessly for donors and food banks.

Our Trustee, David, grew up in a household dependent on the benefits system and knows firsthand how important food banks are in helping people and families through difficult times.

With a successful career in investment banking, David volunteers his financial expertise to ensure our funds are managed with care, transparency, and financial responsibility.
